Unlacquered brass responds immediately to air, humidity, and touch. We inspect each piece before dispatch. The main product photographs show the general starting tone, but no two pieces will arrive exactly alike, and their tone may shift during storage or transit. Product photographs show a starting condition, not a permanently fixed colour.

Not permanently. The most visible changes usually happen early. As the patina develops, the brass tends to settle into a slower, more stable state. Frequently touched areas may remain brighter than recessed or protected areas.

Use the enclosed dry fibre cloth for routine wiping. Do not apply metal polish directly to the assembled belt, as it may permanently mark the leather. You can restore some brightness, but the brass will continue to change afterwards.

Once we assemble unlacquered brass onto vegetable-tanned leather, the materials begin responding to contact, humidity, and time. A returned belt may no longer retain its untouched starting condition and cannot be resold as new.

We therefore do not accept returns, refunds, or size exchanges for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or natural finish variation. This does not affect mandatory rights under applicable law if an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described.
